Maria Sharapova, 26 has been ranked as number one based on her earnings for the year 2012 as the highest earning female in the sports world.
Maria is said to have gulped an estimated $29 million withing last years 12 months taking her to first position just ahead of the “Power Mike” American, Serena Williams who comes in second place with an estimated earning of 20.5 million Dollars. Li Na of China is third and Victoria Azarenka comes in fourth place with an earning of 18.2 and 15 million Dollars respectively.
However, the list shows the disparity between the male and the female world just as Tiger woods, the highest earning male Athlete for 2012 savoured a staggering 78million Dollars as compared to Sharapova’s 29million.
